Absolom & Durrant, formerly Gavin Absolom Independent Financial Adviser Ltd, was established by Gavin in 1997 after starting his career in financial services in 1987.
Over the years, our team has grown. In 2015, Jo Baldwin joined to help with the day-to-day administration of the company. Four years later, James Durrant joined before becoming a fully qualified financial adviser in 2021. Then later in the year, Chantal Absolom joined to manage the business.
Our recent name change reflects the new found partnership with James to help provide continued service to our clients into the future.
Gavin has a wealth of experience within the financial services sector having qualified as an adviser in 1987. In his spare time, Gavin enjoys music including DJing for friends & family, dancing, general fitness and walking his two dogs Belle & Tippi. Gavin has also been an Arsenal supporter since childhood.
James joined the company in 2019 and has since become a fully qualified Independent Financial Adviser. In his spare time, James is an avid supporter of Harlequins rugby and plays for Lewes RFC. James spends his spare time trying to exhaust his lively Cocker Spaniel “Winston” with long country walks.

Before joining Absolom & Durrant, Chantal managed the day to day running of a small successful local company. Chantal now manages the day to day running of our company and became a qualified Estate Planner in February 2022. Chantal enjoys drinks with her friends, going to the gym and walking her dogs Belle & Tippi

Jo has over 30 years experience in financial services starting at Legal & General at the age of 16. Jo joined Gavin in 2015. Jo enjoys spending time with her family and 2 dogs Poppy and Jasper, as well as socialising with her friends.
